From a young age, I remember my mum telling me how important it is to look after my skin. Always moisturise, never get sunburnt, don’t apply/remove makeup too harshly… It is one thing that has always stuck with me so I make sure I moisturise twice a day – in the morning, once I have showered and before going to bed. Obviously there are days I cannot be bothered or i’m in a rush so I go without; but these products are my favourites!
After showering or taking my makeup off, I make sure my face is nice and clean before applying a light moisturiser by Simple. My skin is very sensitive but can also be quite oily, so it’s important that I use an oil-free moisturiser!
The most sensitive part of my face is around my eyes – they can go very dry and sore! It took me a while to find a product which moisturised but didn’t sting when applied. I decided to try the eye cream from the Vitamin E range from the Body Shop (I already use the face scrub and body butter). It is amazing! It helps moisturise as well as reducing fine lines… which used to be a nightmare with my concealer causing it to crease!
After this, I use lots of lipbalm! I like strawberry chapsticks, but will sometimes use aloe vera vaseline.. just whatever is to hand.
Lastly, this is a MUST after showering – applying a body butter or deep hydrating lotion. All summer and especially now as we’re getting into the colder weather, it is so important to moisturise! Im not the type of person that has overly dry skin but I like my legs to always be feeling soft – hot dogs or legs photo! The Vitamin E body butter from the Body Shop is my obsession! It contains cocoa butter and hydrates for 24 hours without making your skin greasy… what more could you want?! If you’re not somebody who already moisturises please try this and I guarantee you will love it, even if you do just use it for your legs!
