Hello! Last week my boyfriend graduated from Glasgow Caley Uni and on Saturday I got to go to his grad ball… party!! I decided to write a post about what make-up I used on the night as I loved my eyes and the dramatic flicks! I haven’t done a post like this before and I know I don’t have an amazing make-up collection like some bloggers, but all the products work for me and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out – so that’s all that matters! : )
Below is the Finished Look!
To start with I used MAC Studio Fix foundation in NW20; then concealed under my eyes and spots with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer which I then set with Rimmel’s stay matte transparent powder. I use all these products for my everyday makeup as it creates a good base! I (sort of) contoured with bronzer, the one I use is by Collection and works perfectly … it’s the only one I’ve ever used – as you can see, it gets used a lot! I applied this in the hollow of my cheeks, down the sides of my nose and around my hairline. I then used a peachy-pink blusher, also by Rimmel.
After I have applied all my face type products I go on to do my eyes. I started with my eyebrows, where I used an angled eye brush along with Beautiful Brows dark brown powder. For my eye shadow I mainly used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I used the fourth shade from the left all over the lid then to darken the outer corner and under my eyes, I used a mix of the seventh and last shade. I love doing eyeliner flicks and have always used the liquid Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner. After that I used lots of mascara as I like my eyelashes to be very long and dark! To finish off my eyes I used some of the Seventeen metallic cream on the middle of my lid to brighten them and add some shimmer!
Lastly, for my lips I kept it simple and just used a collection lip pencil with a lip balm on top! This isn’t my usual lip pencil, but it stayed on well and worked great on it’s own.
As you can tell my make-up collection is pretty basic as I like to stick to what I know but I do mix it up a bit sometimes! I liked this look for the ball as it’s quite dramatic but not too over the top! Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments!
