This week I thought I would do a review of No.7’s Beautifully Matte foundation – which I am currently using!
For a while I used Estee Lauder Double Wear, it worked amazingly for my skin… Covered all my imperfections and did not make my face shiny at all. It cost £28.50 and to be honest it was worth it but I really wanted to try and see if there was any other foundation that worked the same but was a bit cheaper. Especially with summer coming up, Double Wear would be too heavy for my skin and I didn’t want it to appear caked on.
I came across No.7 Beautifully Matte foundation when I was in Boots, on my way to uni. It was the name that actually attracted me to it and after reading that it was for maximum coverage and “an all day shine free look” I had to try it! My face can be quite greasy so I’d never go for anything other than a foundation for oily skin. It was only £13.50, so compared to what I was paying for Estee Lauder, that’s great!!
I was skin matched to the shade Deeply Beige. It applies really smoothly and evenly and definitely covers all imperfections! I do have to set it with a powder and it can go a bit greasy, but that’s only after a full day of wearing it. I would recommend it to anyone that is having trouble finding a foundation that will stay in place and doesn’t want to spend loads of money. If you don’t mind paying £28.50 then Double Wear is definitely for you, cannot fault it at all and think I might get it again after summer!
